Sally and her husband Kevin have over 60 acres at their farm at Lower Pantygoida, which is managed organically and from where Sally runs her small business, Welsh Organic Wildflowers. As well as wandering around their wildflower trail spotting a range of Orchids and other meadow flowers, you will be able to look at the plug plants Sally develops for sale, all grown from locally sourced seeds.
Upper Red House Farm
Upper Red House Farm is a 117 acre organic farm which Teona, a long time member of MMG, has managed since 1995. About 50 acres of the permanent pasture is a Local Wildlife Sites as well as the small woodland and orchard. The grassland is grazed and/or managed as hay meadows, and over the last 20 years Early-purple, Common Spotted- and Southern Marsh-orchids have appeared, with many other plants. Butterfly-orchids have been found in the wood, and the orchard has a number of apple trees. The Red House itself is a beautiful, listed 17th century farmhouse.

Sally’s business, Welsh Organic Wildflowers, is shown on Google maps.
From Monmouth follow the Rockfield Road (B4233) to Tal-y-coed, about 6.5 miles from Monmouth. At Tal-y-coed take a right turn into Tal-y-coed Lane, immediately before the Halfway pub and caravan site (formerly known as Warwicks).
From the west, follow the B4233 to Tal-y-coed, 8.5 miles from Abergavenny, until the Halfway pub on the left. Immediately after the pub turn left into Tal-y-Coed Lane.
Tal-y-coed Lane is narrow. The entrance to the farm is just under 1 mile along on the right, and there is a Welsh Organic Wildflowers sign on the gate. Turn into the farm drive and the parking area is further along the track.

Teona’s farm is also reached from a turning off the B4233.
From Monmouth follow the B4233 for 3.5 miles, through Rockfield to The Hendre. Turn left at the crossroads just after the entrance to The Rolls Golf Club. After 0.5 mile take the right fork towards Tregare/Raglan. After a further 0.9 miles the road forks – there is no sign but there is a small triangle of grass between the lanes. Take the right fork here, along the single track road. After 0.7 miles there is another fork (this time there’s no grass triangle) – take the left fork here. Travel right to the end of this lane where the farm is situated (a further 0.3 miles)
