Tuesday 10th: Gwent Wildlife Trust talk on the Fascination of Fungi by Elsa Wood,  7:30pm – 9:30pm Library of the sessions House, 43, Maryport Street, Usk NP15 1AD. £3 entrance. Details on the GWT web site

Sunday 22nd: Gwent Wildlife Trust will be running a Local Wildlife Site Owners’ Day at Llanishen Village Hall, 9.30am to 1pm. Details and agenda here

Thursday 26th: Parish Grassland Project AGM, 7.30pm at the Mackenzie Hall, Brockweir. talks on different aspects of global warming and climate change by three knowledgeable local speakers: Gemma Bode, Matt Dunwell and David Rees. All are welcome, members and non-members, and there is no charge for entry. Details on PGP web site

April 2020

Tuesday 21st: Our Annual General Meeting and Spring Social, at Centenary Hall in Usk, with speaker Caroline Hanks of Herefordshire Meadows. Details and booking form

Sunday 3rd: Monmouth Bee Festival at the Nelson Garden, Monmouth, 10am to 4pm. Details on Bees for Development’s web site

June 2020

Sunday 14th: Open Meadows Day at MMG members’ meadows in the Llanishen area. Details to follow

*Monmouthshire Botany Group: Botany Walks: The programme is provisional as some venues may be changed. Days start at 10am continuing until about 3-4pm.  All days are for helping to improve ID skills and recording for Atlas 2020.
