MMG thrives due to the commitment of its trustees and volunteers, so thank you to everyone who makes it all happen! Our meadow open days give everyone access to some wonderful meadows, we look after some incredible meadow reserves and our botanists guide members on how to improve their patch, big or small, for plants and wildlife. You don’t need to have any particular experience or plant knowledge to volunteer, just enthusiasm for nature. It’s a great way to learn more and meet a great team of people.
Events coming up:
Monmouth Bee Festival organised by Bees for Development and held in The Nelson Garden, Monmouth on Saturday 13th June from 12–4pm. This is a fun family day out. Monmouthshire Meadows Group volunteers man a stall to let people know about the work of the Meadows Group and to encourage new members to join. Interested? Fill in our volunteer form and don’t forget to say that you are interested in the Bee Festival in the ‘Skills and interests’ box.
Meadows Open Day Saturday 6th June, at Newchurch and Earlswood.
Our volunteers help with advice to visitors about the Meadows Group and support the botanists who wil be taking guided walks. It will be a great opportunity for some one-to-one tuition from our botanists, so if you think you can help out, please fill in the volunteer form
