MMG thrives due to the commitment of its trustees and volunteers, so thank you to everyone who makes it all happen! Our meadow open days give everyone access to some wonderful meadows, we look after some incredible meadow reserves and our botanists guide members on how to improve their patch, big or small, for plants and wildlife. You don’t need to have any particular experience or plant knowledge to volunteer, just enthusiasm for nature. It’s a great way to learn more and meet a great team of people.
We are keen to support our members to work together for wildlife in their local area through developing local clusters. If you would like to join or start your own meadow cluster then get in touch by completing our volunteer form.

Wet Meadow work party Thursday 19th November 10am - 2.30pm
Venue: Wet Meadow reserve, Trellech
A variety of tasks including clearing weed from the new pond and cutting back the invading blackthorn from hedge line and other general clearing/maintenance. Tea/coffee and cake will be provided.

We are seeking an Events Coordinator
Would you like to help us make a difference to nature conservation in Monmouthshire? We are looking for an enthusiastic team member who can help organise and support our programme of meetings, talks, open meadows days and other member events. The role would involve working with committee members and volunteers to coordinate venues, bookings, publicity and event arrangements.
Good organisational and communication skills are essential; experience of event planning would be helpful but is not essential. An interest in wildlife, conservation or community engagement would also be welcomed.
The committee meets around six times a year, and all trustees are involved in supporting our events.
