Membership of Monmouthshire Meadows Group is £10 per year. The membership fee entitles the member and a partner or family member living at the same address to attend all our events. Members are subscribed to our newsletter which provides news of all upcoming events, and will also receive our bi-annual newsletter. Members can request a survey and advice from one of our experts to support them in management of the grassland they manage in line with good ecological practice. Only members can vote at our Annual General Meeting.
Membership benefits include:
In line with our charitable objectives we offer members an optional survey by one of our expert botanists; and provide tailored ecological advice on management of any meadows, public or private, for which they have responsibility.
What do we use your membership fee for?
Gift Aid
Gift Aid is a UK government scheme allowing charities (CASCs) to reclaim basic rate tax (20%) on donations, adding an extra 25p to every £1 donated. It costs donors nothing extra, but requires a signed Gift Aid declaration from UK taxpayers, confirming they paid enough tax to cover the claim. Individual membership of Monmouthshire Meadows Group is allowable under the Gift Aid rules, so that every £10 individual membership fee enables us to claim £2.50 in gift aid. We encourage all our individual members to complete a gift aid form when registering or renewing their membership.
We are not currently able to offer joint memberships, which are not eligible for gift aid, but members are welcome to bring a family member or partner to all events. We will not collect information on partners and family members unless express consent is given to do so.
Gift memberships are not eligible for gift aid.
