This will be a morning of talks and informal wildlife discussion at Llanishen Village Hall, Monmouthshire (directions below).
There is a great line-up of speakers on a wide range of interesting topics (see the programme below).

9.30 -10.00 am: Arrival and tea/coffee
10.00 am: Welcome/Introduction by Andy Karran, GWT Wildlife Sites Officer. Andy will give a brief talk about the current Local Wildlife Site work and our plans for the future.
10.10 am: Kingfishers, Jeff Chard. Local Kingfisher & Otter Enthusiast Jeff will tell us about his time spent studying local Kingfishers and particularly the experiences and encounters, some very close indeed, he has had with them whilst also studying Otters on The Usk.
10:50 am: Lower Wye Catchments Project, Chris Radford, Wye Valley AONB Project Officer. Chris will be telling us about his project, that will alleviate flooding and invasive plant problems in the Lower Wye through natural habitat management processes by working with landowners.
11.20 am: Tea n’ Cake Break. An informal chance to pose your questions to our speakers and Wildlife Trust staff, and meet with other Local Wildlife Site owners, while enjoying refreshments.
11:50 am: Welsh Beaver Project, Alicia Leow-Dyke, Wildlife Trust Wales Project Officer. Alicia will be talking about the exciting, ongoing work exploring the possibilities of reintroducing the Beaver to the Welsh countryside.
12.20 pm: Robin Smith, Wildlife Cameraman. Robin lives locally in the Wye Valley but has filmed wildlife all around the world on numerous high profile natural history programmes. He will tell us a bit about what this involves, which should prove to be a fascinating insight from the other side of the lens.
13.00 pm(ish) Home time!
