UPDATE: We have closed bookings for the meal as we have filled the space available.   Members would still be welcome to attend the AGM and talks but please let us know in advance by emailing us.  Thank you!

Spring is here and it’s time to book for our 2014 Spring Meeting and AGM, this year to be held at the The Babington Centre (the village hall) in Trellech, where we have been helping the trustees to convert their grounds to meadow.  (Booking form below).

Our theme this year is the importance of flower-rich grassland for invertebrates.

Start time is 7 pm. The AGM will be held first, and will not take too much time. After that the main speakers will be George Tordoff from Butterfly Conservation Wales and Mike Kilner, Gwent spider recorder. We’ll have news of our past year and future plans, and plenty of chance to chat with other meadows people. There will be a cold buffet supper.

Members: £12.50 per person including a glass of wine
Non-members are welcome at £15 each
You are also welcome to come to the talks but not stay for supper – members for free, non-members at £3.00

Please book in advance as we need to know how many people to cater for.  You can book online (form below) or contact  Maggie Biss, Tel 01989 750740

You can send payment by cheque, made payable to Monmouthshire Meadows Group, to Maggie Biss, The Old Rectory, Hope Mansell, Ross on Wye, Herefordshire HR9 5TL. If you prefer to pay using Internet banking we’ll send details of our account when we receive your booking.

The Babington Centre is in the centre of Trellech, on the B 4293, opposite the church.  There is parking on site – Location map.  Please contact one of the committee if you need to arrange a lift.
